Shift in Sentiment on the CLARITY Act

Amid volatile movements of major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana. Crypto investors have another hot topic on the horizon. The future of the CLARITY Act for digital assets markets in the United States.

According to a Polymarket poll, more than a third of participating bettors believe this landmark legislation will become law by the end of 2025. Representing a significant decline from previous highs.

The Polymarket poll titled “CLARITY Act signed in 2025” shows that only 29% of traders now predict the bill will pass this year. This figure marks a drop of nearly 50% from the peak of 87% observed in mid-July. Suggesting waning confidence in the bill’s short-term prospects.

Senator Lummis’s Legislative Momentum

These latest figures come shortly after Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) expressed hope that this key crypto legislation would advance in the Senate Banking Committee next month and in the Agriculture Committee in October.

The Republican lawmaker has committed to getting the digital assets bill on President Trump’s desk before Thanksgiving, with the goal of securing its passage this year.

“We cannot allow regulatory confusion to continue pushing American innovation overseas,” Lummis said in July when introducing the bill with a coalition of Republican senators. “The market structure legislation will establish clear distinctions between securities-like digital assets and commodities, modernize our regulatory framework, and position the United States as the global leader in digital asset innovation.”

As the cryptocurrency market remains volatile, investors are closely monitoring the shifting sentiments around the CLARITY Act and Senator Lummis’s actions.

With the bill’s outlook evolving, the crypto community will need to stay informed and adaptable to navigate the industry’s regulatory landscape. The outcome of this legislation could have significant implications for the future of digital assets in the United States.
